Perkins' fleet of over 200 tractors and 600 dedicated trailers provides long haul and regional van and flatbed truckload distribution throughout the 48 contiguous states. Trailers and van equipment are strategically placed across the nation to quickly meet customers' needs and satellite tracking provides real-time shipment information and fleet management resources.
As part of Perkins' commitment to the environment and reducing carbon footprints, we utilize blankets, straps, bars and plywood tiers to fit an average of 65 percent more product into our trailers. This helps our customers decrease the number of loads needed and eliminate cardboard waste - in addition to reducing carbon dioxide emissions 20 percent per pound shipped.
